Seeing signs of Spring is always a welcomed sight after a winter of deep snow and bitter cold temperatures. All the horses seemed to have wintered well. Another foal surprised us in May! A beautiful filly (thank goodness) was born to Moonlight in Boreal's band. The sire of the filly named Moondust is the black mustang Sky.

It is now September and Moondust has grown so much. She finally met our other filly Kai who is now nine months old and a beautiful bay like her mama.

We also rescued four older geldings from BLM holdings (15, 21,21, 24 years old). They were extremely wild and have not since joined the other bands. I'm sure that

in time they will realize that they are now safe and free to roam in the wild once again.

Two other additions have been rehomed and joined us at Berry Creek. McCollough Peaks Kiamichi and his new girlfriend Ether from the Modoc National Forest, Double Devil's Garden in California.

All the donkey's are doing well as we are preparing for another, hopefully mild winter.
